Retired accountant with long list of unvisited countries and seafaring adventures on my bucket list.
Amiable but not much of a party guy. Non-smoker, light drinker, clean and well-organized, detail-
oriented. No formal sailing credentials but can supply references.
I have some bluewater and coastal cruising experience as crew and skippered my own 37-ft
Arlberg ketch in San Francisco Bay. Love mast work (replacing head lights and rigging), not
so hot on Diesel repairs. Pretty good at the bright work. Can scrape and paint bottoms with
the best of 'em. Can cook simple fare and dive for lobster and the like. Can use a sail-making
sewing machine or hand patch. Night watch is my specialty.
Prefer 40-ft (12-meter) or larger vessel. Bunk okay but no quarter-berth please. I'm currently
living near Port Isabel, Texas (on the Gulf across from South Padre Island), or can get to any
port in Texas for unpaid crew position. Will fly anywhere for paid crew position.
My bucket list includes sailing from my home state of Maine south along the Atlantic coast,
around the Horn (or thru the Straight of Magellan) and up the Pacific Coast to Alaska.
An ideal cruise now would be from Port Isabel along the Caribbean coast of Mexico
and Central American, through the Panama Canal and south to Patagonia. But anywhere
you have in mind will probably suit me to a T.
Joy and abundance,
Cimarron
