Default Bristol 45.5

I would appeciate comments about the Bristol 45.5 from the 1980s. Rare in Australia but I think well known in the US. Centreboard Hood design. Anybody sailed on one? Let's hear from you if you know them.

I don't know a thing about them, sorry. You can check the owners' group Bristol Owners' Association Home Page

The owners' groups for boats are usually good sources of info for a variety of boats. Yes, owners who are members of such owners groups tend to be enough in love with their boats to join! and so you'll hear more of the good and less extent of the bad and yes they'll think their boats are worth more than the rest of the world does. But, that's an owners' group. You'll still get great insights about the boat as long as taken with a grain of salt regarding issues of value.

The 45.5 must be a rarer bird Red. They don't even feature on the owners' group website.
