This is a general forum about cruising. The only thing I can say for sure is that is a photo of a non-cruising vessel

Guesses:

1. A very ugly one?
2. A photoshop-ed one?
3. One you're trying to buy?
4. One you're trying to sell?

Fair winds,

Loads of cheap, normal, day sail boats, sailing dinghies and so forth available for low dollars. Why bother looking at weird stuff when there's lots of normal sailboats available? Where are you located? What is your existing experience? What are your goals?

Mgarr, is that in Malta?

I wouldn't even consider that boat for offshore sailing. Getting out of the cockpit onto the foredeck would be difficult and, IMO, dangerous with even a tiny sea. Sail that boat on a small protected lake shallow enough that you could walk to shore when you fall overboard.

Redbopeep is right, there are plenty of boats available out there with the safety one needs. Price must take a back seat to safety and seaworthiness.

Thanks for the advises. yes it's tiny Malta. Fishing boats are my only experience. I never went on a sailing boat. I'm looking for a small sailing boat for a family of 3 to start with. Unfortunately Although Malta is surrounded by yacht marinas, cheap sailing boats are not easy to find. With less than a half a million population, choice is very limited.

To be honest, my wife agreed with you. "with that boat, overloaded will not be a problem, because you will sail alone......" .
