Getting stuck, getting started
Hi – My partner is from Samarai Isand (eastern PNG), we are trying to make a trip happen and Cathy can return to her home and visit her family.
Our first boat cost us a lot of time, resources and enrgy, but gave us a good grounding with living aboard but only a few hundred miles of cruising. We upgraded our vessel and made our lives much happier. The Oceanic 46 was built in the mid 80’s and is strong and sea kindly, we went north for six months, and came back.
We seem to be stuck getting started. Undoing ourselves from decades of living the life of a landlubber. Maybe minimal attachments to the land are required to get away?
