Send a message via Yahoo to Lennie

Hello all,

My name is Lennie, and as I said in the topic title, another new guy!! I am 48 and have been retired from police work for about two years now. I have been interested in learning to sail for years, but just now find myself with the time and patience to learn. I live in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay, just a few miles south of Annapolis. I would be interested in crewing for short trips, relocation or an extended cruise. I am new to sailing , but not to boating. I think my wife just would rather have me sailing than goofing off, (me too really).

Thanx for reading.

Welcome aboard Lennie. Make yourself comfortable.

I suggest you make a post in the crewfinder section as skippers will not find you here - they watch the crewfinder.

Good luck with your plans.

Welcome! Sailing is a wonderful hobby and you will enjoy yourself immensely. It is a great hobby to do together with your spouse as well. My husband and I crewed together for numerous different (racing) skippers while we were picking up some sailing time--fun thing to do.

If you happen to be retired from the US military or are an active reservist, you might wish to check out the Pentagon Sailing Club. They are a warm and welcoming group and offer a good series of sailing instruction as well as have a small fleet of boats for rent to sailing club members.
