Good day,

I will be heading out of FLA in March heading for the USVI. Where is the best place to cross the Gulf Stream?

Cheers

A good place to start would be the Cruising Wiki - HERE (near the bottom of the page).

Let us know if you need more info.

Hey RB, the first and most important question....where in Florida are you now, and what is your planned departure port? There are several routes that can be from comfortable, to very uncomfortable that time of year, depending on your cruising plans. For the most part, though in my opinion a little late, that time of year is ok to head to Bimini, or the Abacos...but your starting point is necessary to give you any good guidance.

Charles,

Thanks for the response.

I will be sailing the boat from Tx to Fla early March so my jumping off port is open at this point. I plan on taking the short route to the USVI sailing out into the Atlantic to 0.66 degrees and turning left or there abouts.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

RB
