Future ex-landlubber
Raymond reporting for duty! Hello to all of you sailors!
Since 2008 I've been infected with the sailor virus, and attempts to fight it have failed graciously. My student gang introduced me to sailing, one hand on the helm and a can of beer in the other. These were the easy days with only a sunny breeze, but I wanted more. Quickly a met some friends who were also interested in having less of a party both and I was able to improve my skills. Don't get me wrong, I like parties too... In 2010 I took a introductory sea sailing course and sailed for five days on the North Sea. Although getting seasick on the first day, I really enjoyed al the things to be done on the boat. I enjoyed working at the navigation table, I enjoyed steering the vessel, I enjoyed trimming the sails, I enjoyed manoeuvring in the harbor, I enjoyed the fresh air, I enjoyed the company of other enthusiasts, and I enjoyed many more things. Just five days were not enough, there was and still is a need for to sail more.
Unfortunately, there was no money and even less time. I'm currently finishing up my studies to become Human Technology Interaction specialist. Now the end is near, it is time to reflect and reconsider what to do next and what to choose of all the offerings in live. To me, cruising would both give me something interesting to do and give me time for this reflection. So that's kind of how I ended up here, I'm looking for a vessel that can take me to explore the seas of the world.
Kind regards,
Raymond
