Default Greetings!

Hello All:

Discovered this site whilst searching for an answer to my Force 10 oven issue, not staying lit. More on that later.

My wife Beth and I recently purchased a Stevens 47 sailboat, love the design and reputation of this one. We sailed the Great Lakes on a Bayfield 29 cutter rig, and fell in love with the lifestyle, and here we are. Recently retired, we have full intentions of making it to the Bahamas this year, the U.S. east coast next summer, and then deep into the Caribbean next year after hurricane season is over. All plans written in sand at low tide<grin> After that, who knows? We'll see.

We have been busy learning the boats systems, how it functions, and enjoying her great sailing abilities. It's been great fun so far, although the weather lately here in the panhandle of the Gulf of Mexico has not been real user friendly. But still much warmer than home, which is in Canada.

Enough blithering on, Greetings!

Welcome to the forums. I hope you make it to the Bahamas next year...I hope I make it to the Bahamas next year. Let us know about the stove problems; I am sure there will be someone here who will be able to offer some assistance.

Welcome aboard! Learning all about your own boat and its systems/needs takes a bit of time/effort but is well worth it.

Enjoy the forums and contribute where you can,
Brenda and David
