Greetings to all! I just joined the forum, with the hope of learning about cruising and perhaps share a few adventures with some of you. I am Catalan, from Barcelona, 39 years-old. I am a writer and can speak several languages fluently. Although I have little experience sailing (and no boat!), I have recently taken the equivalent of Yachtmaster Coastal here in Spain. I am hoping to start gaining more experience as a crew and to buy a boat in a few years time, in order to sail away. For the moment, I'd love to join other people who share similar interests and passions for a particular trip in Asia... But well, I'll post that in the right section in a while; I don't want to be banned on my first post! Ahoy!!

I also have a friemd works for HP Barecelona as a tech writer, also my job for several years as an independent. We will be sailing Philippines to the Solomons via Papua NG in a couple of months time on a two masted top sail schooner, lots of heavy sails and no winches. Has the same sail plan as an 1890 Hull sailing trawler = The Master Hand, although we do have the luxury of a powerful Yanmar diesel engine. Keep in touch if you can spare a few months to crew. I have filippino crew but if we go Oz then I like Europeans for ABs .
