Intro From South Africa

Hi,

Introducing Clyde and Desne Cole who are looking to purchase their 3rd yacht and to go cruising again. Will probably purchase in USA ( Florida ) or the Caribbean by end of this year I hope.

Previously sailed from SA to Caribbean in 1995, then experienced 6 hurricanes, damage in 3 .Did manage to cruise all the Caribbean islands twice before selling 2nd yacht and returning home in 2002. 1st yacht a 58ft Sampson C-Strutter. a beautiful lady, 2nd yacht a 33ft Yamaha, quite a contrast!Yachts names were Dignity and Rocket, if any of you were in the Caribbean in that period.

Will have to buy an older boat due to finances and have a good idea of equipment we need having lived-aboard yachts for 12yrs of which 7 were cruising.

Yeah welcome aboard, you will find the crew on the forum an informative and helpful bunch. Never mind the Castle, the boeries and Windhoek are on Lighthouse.

Just come and sit right down. The braai is fired up - gemsbok steaks today. The Castles are cold and I can even offer a Windhoek if you prefer!

Yeah, I wish. Being stuck in the middle of the wettest Spanish winter on record is not conducive to braaing.
