Hi, I'm Julie and my husband David and four children 14, 16, 18, 23) are sailing off on another adventure. Just a brief history about ourselves: my husband was a captain in the Merchant Navy for 30 odd years, now retired. Wecr4uised in the Mediterranean for 18 months, 2004 to 2006, and now we are fitting out our second Wharram Pahi 42 - heavily modified. We love the Wharram designs, great and very safe sea boats but accommodation is severely lacking in living space. We have modified it by mono-cocqueing her, building a large pod on deck and twin-masted junk-rig. We are planning to sail early July, first stop Portugal, Casablanca, Dakar, Cap Verde islands, Brazil, and after that we shall see. We thought we'd try this forum to see what kind of cruising community is out there, as before we were more involved in the French cruising world. Hope to hear from anybody out there; any tips and just general information or just gossip. Regards, Julie Duval-Hall
