Off For A Year!

HELLOOOOOOO Everybody!

I'd like to send out a big hello to all, as I slowly return to the sailing world.

I've put in for my year off of work, nearly two years ago now, and am anxiously awaiting its' start in May 2009 (more anxiously on the days the thermometer hits -30ºC!). My desire is to spend it predominantly on tallships, as that is the world I am most familiar with, but I am open to whatever my year off throws at me.

I got hooked on sailing on the Barque Picton Castle many years ago and am finally, after dealing with a few of Fickle Fate's mishaps, fullfilling my dream of going deep sea voyagaing on tallships [or sailboats ]. My default plan is to start in the South Pacific and see where the wind blows me.

I look forward to mingling within this forum (and the S.Pacific cruising community) and to learning more about the cruising world.

Welcome to our select group of friendly sailors and the best of luck with your voyage. I am sure your year off will dissapear far too fast because you will be having such a good time.
