The trip down the qld coast is a reasonable sail in good conditions and can be accomplished with day hops. Between Proserpine and Great Keppell Island check in with the coast guards on any shoalwater bay military closures, some anchorages may not be available due to live firing. Daily weather is also available from local coast guards.

My usual stops are

Arlie Beach, Lindeman, Brampton, Digby, Percy (this is the furtherest offshore is), Island Head Creek, Port Clinton, Great Keppel Is (long leg or you could stop and freshwater bay or pearl bay weather permitting), Cape Capricorn, Gladstone, Pancake cr, Bundaberg, inside Fraser Sandy straits, out through the wide bay bar, Mooloolabar, Bribie/Moreton Bay. Alan Lucas has a cruising guide for Coral Coast this has good suggested achorages information, but by no means will replace marine navigational charts.

Dont forget your current safety equipment, hope you have great weather and a safe trip.

Buy Crusing Coral Coast and Noel Patricks Curtis Coats. You can day sail all the way to Brizy.
