Any new Porta Bote experiences?

I did a search for Porta Bote and did find a few threads from several years ago, but nothing recent. The old boat we bought came with a West Marine 3.5m (11.5 ft) RIB slung off davits. We have a 15 hp. Mercury two stroke for it. We're interested in getting rid of the RIB and picking up a used Porta Bote somewhere in the US and shipping it down. Will probably have to fly up to Florida and buy one and take it to Dania or Ft. Lauderdale to ship it.

We're convinced we want a 12 ft. Porta Bote and something like a 5or 6 HP outboard, BUT while I have tons of RIB experience I have never even seen a Porta Bote. Looked at the videos, read lots of reviews, can understand the flexible aspects, but there just isn't one to be viewed in the Turks and Caicos.

Do any of you cruisers have first hand experience with these boats?
From what I am reading, RIB owners who do go to Porta Bote never seem to look back. They're generally the same people who move to composting heads, I've noticed.
