Default sharing anchorages in Madagascar, East Africa

I am gunkholing East African coast now North Mozambique and realize I am collecting valuable piloting info as I go. I also realize that many gunkholed these amazing areas before me. We would all benefit to share. I am also interested in sailors experiences and stories about same areas.

Gunkholer

We do have our own Cruiser Wiki (click on "Wiki" on the upper right of the forum's main page) exactly for this purpose. There you will find the accumulated experience of fellow cruisers and the means to add your own.

If you need any help please do contact me by means of a private msg.

hi thanks for the info, and i had checked wiki, but find not yet enough material there, sure we have to all help build, i will work towards that too;

I am after the stories, the anchorages info that cruisers have, and not put on wiki wcgd
i refer to sites like svOcelot.com family of cruisers who have put lots of info on their cruise out, i hope i am not out of line mentioning their site

another point i want to make concerning material to share, to often we are led into sites that claim to share but are commercial, so would like to get from horses mouth free

But again the wiki world cruise initiative great

Welcome aboard. I think you were referring to the Hacking family. The site you linked to was a counter site for traffic unrelated to the SV Ocelot or any other cruisers.

Many Cruiserlog members and other cruisers do keep blogs and share info on their blogs about their travels freely. That is a great source of info but can disappear quickly if the blog owner doesn't keep up their blog for some reason.

Please do contribute to the Wiki and the forums as you can.

Fair winds,

Please take a look at my site Travels with S/Y Thetis. Maybe this is the information you are looking for.

Cruiser Wiki is non-commercial and free. It is maintained by cruisers from all over the world.

Happy sails

Forgot to mention that we've got a great list of cruising blogs and narratives on the cruising wiki:
Cruising Blogs and Narratives - a Cruising Guide on the World Cruising and Sailing Wiki

Enjoy!
