Based in South Africa so sailing from here would be a plus but not a necessity
Hi to all you Skippers and Sailors out there!
I am a fit, about to stop working in the formal sector, lady with sailing experience. I would like to fill in the bits I have missed in order to complete a circumnavigation, so am looking for crewing opportunities. I love sailing and the sailing lifestyle, I get on well with people and enjoy being an active, participating crew member.
Apart from a bit of racing sailing experience in Durban I have sailed:
from Vancouver to Hawaii, then on to Palmyra Atoll, Fanning Island, Samoa, Tonga and Fiji.
I didn't sail to Australia but sailed the Great Barrier Reef.
Then it was Durban, South Africa to Reunion and Mauritius.
Followed by Durban to Cape Town then St. Helena, Fernando do Noronha, Natal in Brazil, Fortaleza, Caribbean, BVI, Bahamas and finally Fort Lauderdale. (I did the Atlantic crossing from Cape Town to Brazil twice)
I haven't had the pleasure of the following passages: Panama Canal, Fiji to Australia and Australia to Mauritius. And I suppose I'd need to rejoin my tracks in the Pacific to make it a proper circumnavigation.
Of course I'd dearly love to sail in new destinations as well, so I am very flexible in that respect.
Fair winds and safe sailing
Sharon
