Default Novice Family Looking to Crew

We are a family of 5, 2 adults, and 3 teenage boys slowly working our way around the world. We are interested in joining you on your journey. We left California on September 13th and have been to Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand and are currently in Australia. We have been housesitting and transferring vehicles around New Zealand and Australia. We are used to cramped quarters including a 3 berth camper van for 8 days. The highlights of our trip have been snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef and snorkeling and skurfing in Moorea.
Although we are novices at sailing, we think this is an important skill for our family to learn. We are all bright, quick learners and willing to pitch in at whatever we are called upon. This would be a fantastic adventure for all of us to partake in. We would like to sail around Indonesia, and Asia during the months of February and March and then the Greek Islands and Turkey in April and May. If you are crossing the Atlantic in August, we would love to join you and hope to have extensive experience by then. Let me outline our experience.
David Lynch: Father, musician, singer-songwriter. Helped crew on a 3 week sail 30+ years ago. Waterman: snorkels and has been surfing for 35+ years. Grew up on the coast of California. Has some mechanical skills and is not a stranger to boating and fishing. Non- Smoker, social drinker.
Dru Lynch: Mother, cooks (has a M.S. in Nutrition) loves the water but is a novice on boats. Can contribute to watches, cleaning and cooking. Interests are snorkeling and reading. Non-smoker. Occasional drinker.
Carey Lynch: 18 years old. Waterman. Swims, Surfs and snorkels. 3 years experience as a Junior Lifeguard volunteer instructor (ocean – Morro Bay, CA). Preparing to start University in September. Enjoys music. Happy, centered personality (no teen angst!).
Declan Lynch: 15 years old. Waterman. Surfs and snorkels. 1 year work as a Junior Lifeguard volunteer. (ocean – Morro Bay, CA). Studious, more serious but not moody. Again, no teen angst. Enjoys music and sports.
Miles Lynch: 13 years old. Likes to snorkel. Has participated in the Junior Lifeguard program for 3 years. Enjoys cooking and helping in the kitchen. Enjoys sports and reading. Comedian of the family.

Please find out more about us on our website: Welcome Page. Please watch the video at the bottom to get to know us a bit better.

Wow. Now that's an audacious plan you've got there.

Best of luck to ya.
