More info

I am a Swiss born South African male, elctr.engineer, aged 46 and am taking a 2 year break from work to go sailing. I will be sailing single-handed most of the time but I'd like help and companionship to cross the larger stetches. I am easy going and not too demanding, the only important duty will be to watchkeep so that everyone gets enough sleep and always have someone look out for those big ships. Fit and healthy individuals with little sailing experience but with intelligence, wit and good common sense will be considered.

Hi,

we are a spanish couple (from Tenerife and Barcelona), actually living at the Canary Islands. We´ll finish work at november and we are decided to join a boat to cross the Atlantic. Our aims are, firstly, enjoy and share agreat experience, but also we´d love to learn as much as possible about sailing and onboard lifestyle, so we´d like to help on the boat as much as we can, in order to learn more.
We´re both marine biologist and we´re used to work at sea. Actually we work as diving instructor and divemaster in a dive center.
Laura has been working a few weeks in a sailing boat, in an environmental research project, and David, myself, I´ve been working three times in fishing boats as biologist, in the Atlantic and the Indian ocean, spending till 2 month at sea.

It would be great to hear from you if you are interested.

Our email: davidacu@yahoo.es

Regrads,

David and Laura

Hi

vinz(28) and frank (30) are presently living in Berlin and looking for a

ride across the atlantic ocean. We would describe ourselves as relaxed,

open minded, active and contemplative individuals that love cooking and

playing the lonely guitar.

It`s very much the voyage itself, experiencing its distance and the wind

driven vessel that motivates us for this trip. Unfortunately we can only

offer basic sailing experiences (with a german boat license) in navigation,

maneuvers and COLREGs. But we`re highly interested in learning from your

skills and the ocean.

Frank, graduated philosopher and student of political science, is heading

for Colombia to take a job there and continue an investigation in urban

studies. Vinz, a freelancing pedagogue, is working on social and political

education with teenagers and young adults. He is planning to head for the

United States after travelling Central America.

We`re looking forward to get to know more about you and your plans and

conceptions.

Best Regards

Frank Vinz

Hi All

I would like to reiterate that I'm looking for individuals. I have a little difficulty with the idea of taking on couples. Thanks for the interest anyway.

Hi,

My name is Carlie and I am a 29 yr old American female. I spent six months last winter and spring on a 35' sloop sailing the Carribean. I want to sail again and keep this very exciting lifestyle going. I was the first mate and all work was shared on the boat, but I was not the skipper and I would still call myself a novice. I am very enthusiastic to learn more and would love to experience a long passage down wind from Africa to SA.

I am definitely easy going but for some reason, sometimes people just don't get along. I would like to know more about what you are looking for and what your plans are for this voyage. Especially the dates. Please respond to this post if you are interested.

Thanks,

Carlie

Hi Ensign,

I'm a British 32-year old computational chemist taking some time out to do some sailing before I go and do a Phd.

I've got an RYA Day Skipper qualification and have some blue water experience from doing the Tall Ships race a few years back. I've sailed on and off around the U.K. since then. I wouldn't consider myself that experienced, but would definitely consider myself competent enough to crew :-)

I'm very easy-going, sociable, well-read, musical and enjoy any physical activity that gets me out of doors.

I'm available from mid-October and have no problem making my way to the Canary Islands.

If you're still looking for crew and want to get in contact, then just send me an email to : linucks42@gmail.com

Best wishes,

Jens
