Hello everyone!
My name is Greg, and I'm a 22 year old student. I discovered this forum when surfing around online looking for ways to get sailing experience.
I'm currently studying Finance in Grand Rapids, MI, USA.
I have a lot of experience in and around water (mostly The Great Lakes, and inland lakes, but some Carribean/Atlantic stuff too). My experience is mostly limited to small speed boats and pontoon boats, so I really have no experience sailing.
I love to travel! Spent time touring Western Europe last summer, and will be studying in London this summer. Have been around the U.S. and Canada a lot as well as Central America and the Carribean.
Basically, I'm just excited about meeting new people and finding adventure anywhere I can. With that in mind, I'm also a very hard working, practical sort of guy, so I know I'd be an asset to any crew. I'm bright and willing to learn/try just about anything.
Please let me know any advice you may have for me about getting more sailing experience. Also, if you're in need of inexperienced (but hardworking) crew this summer or after December 2012, I'm interested. I'm mostly available in May or August this summer, since I'll be studying in London June/July. I graduate next December, and would love to take a sailing trip before getting a job. I am able to travel and meet up for crews.
Thanks in advance for any info!
Greg
