I have found that sailing and fishing make a great combination as the hull speed of my boat makes for a nice trolling speed for lures.

Who here enjoys fishing while sailing and what is your favorite fish to catch and eat? What tackle do you generally use?

Favorite fish? Dolphin, also known as Mahi Mahi.

Favorite lure? Hook with a Budget Marine plastic bag (cut in strips) as the lure. (according to Caribbean cruisers, no other bag attracts the fish like a Budget Marine's.)

Now that is funny! Do you happen to have a picture of this lure?

Afraid not, no picture. The people who are most likely to use such a lure are the "advanced" cruisers. You know, the ones whose head needed overhauling, so they threw it overboard and now just use a bucket. Who cut down their smoking while on a passage by not carrying matches or a lighter, and have to light their cigarettes by putting it under a magnifying glass so the sun will eventually ignite the tobacco. whose provisioning for a passage consists of a bag of rice. If they don't catch fish they don't eat.

Camera? what's that? Definitely not Peter or me.
