Greetings:
Short story made long: GrandPa built Monterey Trawlers out of Moss Landing, CA. Dad never hardly got his feet wet as Mom was afraid of the water, as in never had a bath afraid.
I grew up sailing Monterey Bay, crewing on Mercury Class SB, sailed dingys around Monterey Marina, even sailed a Kool Styrofoam SB from Carmel Bay to Stillwater Cove.
Had an urge to "Head West" so I traveled East to Wyoming to learn to Cowboy.
Thirty years later I am running a cattle operation just S. of Sacramento, not far from The Delta.
Starting over, taking a Basic Sailing Course from Sacramento State this Summer, then moving on to Keel Boats in the Fall.
Reading whatever I can, whenever I can, Wife and I have the beginnings of a plan to retire with water beneath us, someday, somewhere.
Permission to come aboard?
