Hi everyone! I decided to join your site for information and stories. I currently live in Minnesota. But I've recently been asked to travel the world with a dear, close friend of mine. He's in Colorado.

I'm 28, have a great job, wonderful friends, family and a Min Pin for a dog.

I've always wondered what traveling the world would be like, and would be an amazing experiance...however, Like anyone I have bills...debt, and I wonder how all this would work.

Any suggestions, ideas, how did you finance all this? How do you budget money on the open seas? How do you afford it? And how do you stay in contact with the people that have been in your life for so long?

Anything you can offer in advice would be well appreciated. Thank you and I admire you all.

Can't help a log as i'm a newbie myself but I have a couple of friends currently drifting around the med. They're working on €1500 per month (don't know what's in that).
