Hello to All,
My name is Glen, and I'm a retired guy living in the Southern California Desert. I'm also the owner of a Ingrid 38 cutter, the S/V Semper Fi.
By birth I'm a Californian, by orgin, I'm the product of a post WWII warm Brisbane night.
For the most part, I'm a singlehander and have logged about 10,000 blue water miles. However, that was 30 years ago. All of those miles were with a sextant, which I still have and now working to remember how to use the darn thing. GPS is great, but like anything electrical, subject to failure at the worst possible time. I like to use the sextant and then confirm my DR and celestial position with the GPS.
