Default Issue with Wagner Hydraulic Steering

Greetings from Blondie Too, a Corbin 39. I have an issue with my second steering station spinning the wheel on my main steering station without any rudder movement (main wheel works fine). I presume that there is an issue with the check valve...my rather simple problem is finding the check valve. I have the helm pump at both stations and copper pipe connecting to the cylinder but not obvious check valve...excuse my neopyhte ignorance of this system but where do I find it? There is an autopilot and a pressure dampener but these are currently disconnected from the system due to unresolved leaks. Tks in advance.

Bill

Welcome aboard,

I can't help you personally since I don't have hydraulic steering on my boat to even trace the likely location for you. However, the folks at Wagner Wagner Steering - Hydaulic Steering should be able to point you in the right direction--they may have a schematic of a typical system or even a customer file on your particular boat's system.

Their contact information is here Wagner Steering - Contact Us

There is a Corbin 39 owners group and many technical questions about the steering system have been posed and discussed here: http://corbin39.com/questionsandanswers.html

We hope you enjoy the forums here
