"Early hours of May 6, Wednesday. A violent storm takes assault five sailboats crossing the North Atlantic towards Europe, 500 miles south of the Azores. Winds of around 90 kilometers per hour and waves of 10 meters. Dug depression.
Requests for assistance started arriving at the Search and Salvage Center of Ponta Delgada, which, in conjunction with the Coordination Centre for Search and Rescue Air Lajes, launched a search and rescue mega-operation which started at 02h of the 6th, Wednesday, till 12.25 pm this Thursday, May 7."
