Hi,
Firstly, to all you guys out there now cruising/wintering, I don't know many of you as I am one of the 'hermit' sailing types, but my thoughts are with you, take care - specially to you 'Doughie' ex of Seaport Marina here in Inverness, safe journey!
Moored in Inverness at the moment, on the Caledonian Canal, moving to Wick in Far North East for cheaper mooring soon. My boat? Yeah.... A Westerly 33 Ketch, built in 1979, I liveaboard when I don't have to earn money......... Sailed since I was Nine years old and I am totally wrapped up with boats and sailing. Widely travelled but been 'local' to the North (Orkney, Shetland, Western Isles....) for a while, slowly driving me a bit mad and I can't get over the fact that I 'aint been down the Southern Hemisphere...... and when I start thinking that way then those that know me know what happens next....................... I earn some money to make sure everyones provided for and off I go.............. My family don't/wont, and as time goes on try to 'persuade' me to give it all up...... waste of their time, as they well know.
All the best folks.
