I really wish they hadn't mentioned this site. I hope people will understand that the purpose of me posting this in the first place was to contact people in South Africa who could help us. So far, this site has been so helpful. I just hope people don't use it to comment on "the story," and it continues to be used as a source for helping to find my dad and Quen.

I'm sure people will use their best judgement and not use it for 'the story'.

Further to the comments from "Lighthouse", we will keep order here. Rest assured of that. Any inappropriate comments WILL be deleted.
Day will have broken by now in the rescue area. Let us hope we get some news soon.

Hello there,
I'm so glad that you found our forum and hope that you will find moral support in the posts of our online community here. We're glad that we are able to provide some help/information to you and your family at this time. It is so hard to be sitting literally waiting for information to trickle to you about the wellbeing of a loved one.
By radio and word of mouth, the cruising community will spread the word and assist as it is possible. Though we're all far away and separated by miles of ocean and the stormy weather which must be confounding the Queequeg II search effort, please know that our thoughts are with you. By now, there are many members of the cruising community worldwide who are praying for the safety of the crew of the Queequeg II and for you to have peace and strength as you await news.
Take care,
Brenda

Nicole
I have just got off the phone to the Radio Net controller - he has no news at present.
The Net schedule is due to start shortly and has promised to let me know if there are any developments.
Perhaps you can give the USCG a call now to see if they have any news as there has now been 3 or 4 hours of daylight over the search area.
Sorry I cannot give you more at this time.

They assured me they are thoroughly checking the boat - inside the hulls, cabin, etc. They will be updating me.
